Story Time: That Time We Walked Up The Infante Flyover

There was a time when Iloilo had no flyovers like the ones we have today. The first one, called the Infante Flyover (named for one of the streets it traverses over) was constructed from 2007 to 2008. I was in my fourth year of high school then. When the structure was finished and opened toContinueContinue reading “Story Time: That Time We Walked Up The Infante Flyover”

Story Time: Listen To The Universe When It Whispers

October 5th of every year is when we celebrate World Teachers’ Day. For a whole day, we remember the ones who have helped mold us into the person we are today. They may have different ways of imparting knowledge on to our brains, but the end game is all the same — to make sureContinueContinue reading “Happy World Teachers’ Day!!!”

Dancing Waiters of Yupihay

Today marks the 10th year anniversary of my class’ culminating activity for our Home Technology class — a formal dinner! Our section hosted the event for ourselves and the UP High School in Iloilo faculty. Some of the boys, namely myself, Dale, Alvin, Martin, Ace, Fama, and Niño acted as waiters (as part of the requirement to pass the class) and even did a little dance presentation to the tune of “Cherry Lips” by Garbage. The success of the event was the first step in our month-long journey to accomplish all requirements needed for us to graduate.
