My favorite restaurant in Iloilo is Breakthrough in Arevalo. Many will agree with me that it is the best place to eat in the City of Love — and it’s usually an argument between Breakthrough and Tatoy’s, but ultimately it’s just about personal preference as both are definitely top-tier restaurants. Anyway, what I love theContinueContinue reading “Doom and Gloom While You Eat”

(Un)Lucky Me!
Six years ago, I posted something here in my blog about the pros and cons of putting your luck to the test with lottery tickets and the stuff that I would immediately buy if I (hypothetically) placed a bet. The article ~does~ sound preachy and condescending, especially in the latter parts but I’d attribute thatContinueContinue reading “(Un)Lucky Me!”
Kainan With Kinan: Editorial
As evidenced with my previous posts in a series called “Kainan With Kinan”, I am fascinated with cooking, or at least the notion or being able to cook certain dishes. I would never claim to be talented at it, but I’ve learned more than enough cooking skills to be able to feed myself — aContinueContinue reading “Kainan With Kinan: Editorial”
Dancing Waiters of Yupihay
Today marks the 10th year anniversary of my class’ culminating activity for our Home Technology class — a formal dinner! Our section hosted the event for ourselves and the UP High School in Iloilo faculty. Some of the boys, namely myself, Dale, Alvin, Martin, Ace, Fama, and Niño acted as waiters (as part of the requirement to pass the class) and even did a little dance presentation to the tune of “Cherry Lips” by Garbage. The success of the event was the first step in our month-long journey to accomplish all requirements needed for us to graduate.
Remembering My First Panic Attack
Experiencing a panic attack first-hand gave me empathy to those who are plagued by mental disorders of various kinds.
Previously, I was aware that these things happen to a lot of people but couldn’t fully comprehend what made them so crippling. It was an eye opening experience for me, definitely.
I wanted to be honest and share this experience with everyone to spread awareness on mental health.
Flashback Friday: I’ve Actually Forgotten We Went To Baguio Back in 2002
This photo was from the time we went to Baguio City to attend the Children’s Museum and Library Incorporated’s (CMLI) annual training workshop. This was taken in our room at Teacher’s Camp (September 2002). My companions were fellow students from Oton Central Elementary School, teachers and parents/chaperones. I had lots of fond memories during thisContinueContinue reading “Flashback Friday: I’ve Actually Forgotten We Went To Baguio Back in 2002”
The Internet Is One Giant Playground So Play Nice
One of the best things about the internet is that it gives you the ability to express yourself in ways you could never have by traditional means. This blog where I can express my opinions and post pictures of various stuff, for example, would never be possible without the World Wide Web. And as longContinueContinue reading “The Internet Is One Giant Playground So Play Nice”
Student-Politicians. Pffft.
At around this time every year, students aspiring to be elected into their respective student councils are busy trying to convince schoolmates why they deserve to be voted. Of course, one effective way to woo the crowd is to embellish speeches with words like “service”, “integrity”, “hard-working”, et cetera. These speeches are not unlike theContinueContinue reading “Student-Politicians. Pffft.”
A New Hope (This is not a Star Wars reference)
(Note: This is my first article since forever, so, like an athlete not being able to compete for months, there will be rust that needs to be shaken off) A couple of weeks ago, me and a few of my relatives went on a road trip up north to visit victims of Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan in EstanciaContinueContinue reading “A New Hope (This is not a Star Wars reference)”

So, I promised myself that I’ll start blogging again. So here it is! Unfortunately, I have nothing to talk about… for now. So, until all the creative juices start flowing again, enjoy this animated GIF (click on the image to see it move!!!!!!) of a kitten playfully chewing on a bunny’s ears!
