Kainan With Kinan Specialty: Chicken Adobo

The dish that I, in my current state, can truly confidently whip up for other people is chicken adobo. It’s the oldest recipe that I’ve learned (okay, the true oldest is cheese omelette… omelet du fromage… but who doesn’t know how to make that?), all the way back to 2011. It’s also the dish thatContinueContinue reading “Kainan With Kinan Specialty: Chicken Adobo”

DFA Data Breach

News recently broke out of a data breach involving the personal information of Philippine passport holders. Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin admitted (on Twitter of all places) that a former foreign contractor working for the government agency ran off with data, allegedly out of spite, after the former’s contract was terminated byContinueContinue reading “DFA Data Breach”

Silence is the Enemy 2019

For this year, I will do everything I can within my power to post on this blog at least once a week. The goal is for Silence Is The Enemy to have fresh weekly content, and by the time 2019 ends, this blog should have at least 48 new posts.
Writing has always been my thing, and it’s such a bummer that I haven’t been able to blog consistently in the past. So, here’s hoping that changes this year.

I am looking forward to making meaningful #content for all of you. Happy New Year! 🎊🎆🎈

Thankfulness All The Time

Let me start this post by saying I badly wanted to make a reference to Ariana Grande’s song “Thank U, Next” in the title, but felt it would inappropriate to do so in a serious article. Happy World Teachers’ Day!!!

October 5th of every year is when we celebrate World Teachers’ Day. For a whole day, we remember the ones who have helped mold us into the person we are today. They may have different ways of imparting knowledge on to our brains, but the end game is all the same — to make sureContinueContinue reading “Happy World Teachers’ Day!!!”

Kainan With Kinan: Editorial

As evidenced with my previous posts in a series called “Kainan With Kinan”, I am fascinated with cooking, or at least the notion or being able to cook certain dishes. I would never claim to be talented at it, but I’ve learned more than enough cooking skills to be able to feed myself — aContinueContinue reading “Kainan With Kinan: Editorial”

Remembering My First Panic Attack

Experiencing a panic attack first-hand gave me empathy to those who are plagued by mental disorders of various kinds.
Previously, I was aware that these things happen to a lot of people but couldn’t fully comprehend what made them so crippling. It was an eye opening experience for me, definitely.
I wanted to be honest and share this experience with everyone to spread awareness on mental health.
