Dealing With COVID-19 After It Infected Family Members

I scheduled this post to publish today, September 24, 2021. It would’ve been my grandmother’s 85th birthday. She died of COVID-19 almost two months ago, on July 30th. It wasn’t just my grandmother who contracted COVID, though. July wasn’t too kind as my mother, her brother, and brother-in-law (in short, my uncles) were infected as well.I wanted to write this for a couple of reasons – to give closure to those nightmarish 5 weeks, and to remind whoever cares enough to read this to take COVID-19 seriously.

The Past Was The Worst (Stop Romanticizing The Past)

I was always a sentimental person; that’s just one of the most fundamental facts about me. As I advanced in age, I became more inclined to follow the rational approach into things as opposed to letting feelings and emotions dictate my actions. But the more you think about it, the more you realize that the past was the absolute worst

Kainan With Kinan: How I Bake My Chicken

I ate baked chicken for dinner tonight (it was delicious, as usual, lmao) and since I’m in the mood to write, I decided to post this. Disclaimer: my process is an amalgamation of different recipes that I’ve found all over the internetz. The end-product is tasty according me and a few others who’ve been fortunate enough to taste it, so that’s good enough for me.

My Anniversary As A Dreamcatcher Stan

Today, August 17th, marks the first anniversary of Dreamcatcher’s EP Dystopia: Lose Myself. This means it’s officialy been a year since they became my favorite KPop girl group. As a rock and metal kid growing up, Deukae’s (deulim kaechyeo) music especially fascinates me since they incorporate elements of rock/metal and horror into their unique brand of KPop.

Useful Software That I Personally Use (Part 1)

In this post and in future ones as this will probably become a series (because there are plenty of software that come to mind), I will list some of the tools that I personally use to help me navigate my way through the vast wasteland that is the World Wide Web. Some of these tools (mostly apps) were recommended by credible tech sites and YouTube channels I trust, while others I discovered by myself (note: some of these tools are for Desktop and laptop computers, some for mobile devices).

Dark Thoughts For Dark Times # Holy Crap I Can’t Believe We’re Still Doing This After A Whole Year

When I first decided to write my pandemic thoughts around this time last year, I thought this series would only go on for a couple of weeks to a couple of months at most. Fast forward one year and this series is still relevant. Just the other day, the Philippines recorded a whopping 7999 COVID-19 cases – the highest number of daily cases since the pandemic was officially declared on March 11th, 2020.
