Kainan With Kinan: I Had My First Jollibee Since The Coronapocalypse Started

Today is day 30 (I honestly don’t know anymore if that’s accurate lol) since Iloilo enacted a lockdown as part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Travel to and from Iloilo city has been restricted, with security checkpoints being placed in key areas to ensure people are adhering to physical distancing protocols. Important afairs, such as grocery shopping, trips to the pharmacy, banks, etc., and medical-related transactions are still allowed.

So on an errand trip to the bank, a stopover was made to Jollibee’s Diversion Road drive-thru branch, because, well, a month has been the longest period of time that I have not consumed a Chicken Joy. When opportunity presents itself during hard times, you take advantage of it.

I am now dreaming of the day that the lockdown is lifted that we may partake in the consumption of trademarked chicken flesh on a regular flesh.
