The Very Friendly Bikers of Oton (VFB-Oton) conducted a Gift-Giving Program for the Aeta community in Sitio Igtuba, Barangay Camangahan, Guimbal, Iloilo on December 18, 2019. This is in line with the Christmas season, as the spirit of the holidays is all about giving. The organization gave out a pack of grocery items and rice for each Aeta household, and laid out a variety of donated clothes for the locals to choose from.
VFB-Oton is an organization of bicycle enthusiasts from Oton, Iloilo. Members who voluntarily participated in the gift-giving activity rode their bikes from the group’s headquarters in Poblacion West, Oton (note: my house) all the way to the venue of the program, which is a good 30 kilometers.
The gift-giving program was held in partnership with the Office of the Public Schools District Superintendent of Guimbal, headed by Mr. Edmund M. Mirasol (note: my father).
