Ides of March

Today is the Ides of March, March 15 in the Roman calendar. Though it is a day of various religious celebrations by the ancient Romans, the Ides of March is known in modern times to be the date of the assassination of Roman dictator Julius Caesar by members of the Roman Senate, including his BFF Marcus Brutus.

The assassination marked the downfall of the Roman Republic, which transitioned into the Roman Empire.

Let the Ides of March remind you that even your closest homies are capable of backstabbing you… in Caesar’s case, quite literally!

Et tu, Brute?
