Music Mondays: amo by Bring Me The Horizon

British metal band Bring Me The Horizon recently released a new album called amo, and the reactions are fairly mixed, mainly due to the band’s older fans not liking the fact that this album is their most un-metal release to date. amo is ~heavily~ influenced by electronic music (hope you saw what I did there, lol) and purist metalheads are not pleased.

Personally, I love amo. Sure, it takes some getting used to especially if you’re used to vocalist Oliver Syke’s screams and growls instead of falsettos. But for the most part, I enjoyed the new sound. To be fair to the band, they’ve already experimented with less heavier tracks in their previous album That’s The Spirit, so I don’t know what the fuss is about.

You be the judge.

Don’t forget to listen to their older, metal tunes as well.
