High school kids do the dumbest things, all the while thinking it’s cool. Granted, some dumb high school things really are cool, but for the best part dumb high school things are just that — dumb.
One random story that recently popped into my head was a time in high school, around 2006 or 2007. Junior year. We were 15 or 16 then. Us boys would lather alcohol/sanitizer or petroleum jelly all over our hands, then set it on fire. Of course the fire would use the alcohol as fuel, leaving our hands unscathed.
The act of randomly remembering this, and how we felt like, I dunno, metahumans with self-combustion powers, makes current me cringe. And I’m a nerdy dude who’s into superheroes.
I’m just glad we didn’t hurt ourselves trying to be Human Torch. Lol
