One of the greatest basketball players to have ever played the game is celebrating his birthday today! Let’s all greet San Antonio Spurs big man Tim Duncan a happy 38th birthday!!!
I’ve despised Tim’s Spurs for most of the past 10 years or so because of their rivalry with my Los Angeles Lakers, but I’ve always held Duncan with utmost respect. He’s one classy guy on and off the court. And you can’t deny his talent.
Duncan, a four-time NBA Champion (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007), has career averages of 19.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.2 blocks per game while shooting 50.6% from the field, 17.6% from three and 69.4% from the free throw line. He played 1254 regular season games throughout his 17-year career, which began in 1997 when the Spurs drafted him first overall in the 1997 NBA Draft.
Happy birthday, Timmy! Wishing you success in this year’s playoffs! BEAT THE HEAT!!!
