The Internet Is One Giant Playground So Play Nice

Internet1
Taken from Wikipedia

One of the best things about the internet is that it gives you the ability to express yourself in ways you could never have by traditional means. This blog where I can express my opinions and post pictures of various stuff, for example, would never be possible without the World Wide Web. And as long as you don’t abuse this freedom on the internet, then it’s okay to express yourself in whatever way that pleases you.

However, there will always be those stuck up gumps who will have something negative to say with your posts. That’s life. There will always be people who like you and what you do, and there are those who despise you and everything you do becomes annoying in their eyes.

The Hater

To those of you who keep complaining about how annoying someone is on the internet because of the stuff they post, guess what? YOU DON’T HAVE TO CHECK OUT THESE POSTS! It baffles me why you keep following/friend-ing that person if all he/she does is annoy you. On Facebook, there’s the unfollow button so that you don’t have to see whatever “annoying” things your friend posts without unfriending the poor sap. There’s no way to un-see “annoying” posts on Twitter and Instagram aside from blocking/unfollowing, but if you don’t like what he/she tweets, stop following him/her. Let him/her be because it’s his/her profile.

The Hated

Don’t let these scumbags dictate what you should or should post — as long as you’re not breaking the law or hurting someone. Post one billion selfies if you like (word of caution, though: too much vanity is not good for you). Post whatever songs you like. Update your Facebook status every second if you like. It’s. YOUR. Account. And if they don’t like what you post, then tough noodles.

Play Nice

The internet is one giant playground where we all can we do whatever we want so long as we stick to the rules and not hurt our playmates. There will always be people who share your interests. Stop focusing on the things you dislike and interact with people who you have common ground with. That’s way better than stressing over someone because you don’t like what they’re saying, right?
